The East Harris County Manufacturers Association is an alliance of more than 125 chemical manufacturers, refiners and supporting distribution facilities in Baytown, Deer Park, Houston, La Porte, North Channel and Pasadena.
Since our founding more than 20 years ago, we've grown into the largest network of its kind in the world. Our member companies transform natural resources into the materials needed to make many essential consumer products such as cosmetics, gasoline, jet fuel, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, electronics, building supplies, household goods, clothes, plastics, automobile parts and thousands of other everyday items that are a part of your daily routine.
With more than 33,000 people working in industries throughout East Harris County, our members strive to employ a workforce that reflects the diversity of the community and supports long-term sustainability.
Member companies contribute about $12 billion annually to the local economy through taxes, payrolls, purchases and capital expenditures. Collectively, the companies spend more than $5 billion annually on operating and capital Improvement costs related to pollution control and abatement. |
